Hermetica is a collection of works that mine moving aerial drone footage of earth’s paranormal vortex centers and politically ravenous hotspots, transforming them into strange alchemical imagery suggestive of figurative idols and deity. Adopting mathematical strategies used in architectural and textile pattern formation, these works conjure a relationship to prayer flags, warning signage, and animal visage masks used within indigenous ritual practices.
